Richards]] is published, drawing the sustained attention of Prussian-American anthropologist and linguist [[Edward Sapir]]. JCB said that this book provided "one of the cornerstones on which to rest the structure of [[primitive]]s in Loglan." More specifically, he attributes the separation of the "cognitive" and the "emotive" components of meaning facilitated by [[attitudinal]]s to this work.
