rarbau

A language learned by infants and not consciously devised by anyone. Normal examples are English, Chinese, Navajo. A natural language that ba'o learned by infants is said to be dead.

Esperanto is a marginal example: it is learned by some infants, but was consciously devised. Other conlangs are not natural languages, nor are computer languages like C.

See Names of Languages.
