Like most structures in Lojban, tanru are left-branching. E.g. lenku cakla ladru parses as lenku cakla ladru, i.e. cold-chocolate milk, not "cold chocolate milk". If you want the latter, you must say lenku ke cakla ladru or lenku cakla bo ladru.

What's Gotcha-ish about that?
