Certainly not "mi tsamau le prula'i nanca".

The most obvious way is "le ni mi ca tsali cu zmadu le ni mi ca le prula'i nanca cu tsali", but that is "heavy".

"mi tsali nu'imaugi caku nu'ugi ca le prula'i nanca" is also a bit heavy with the termsets.

"mi ca tsali .isemaubo mi ca le prula'i nanca cu tsali" may be interpreted to claim that I am strong both now and last year.

Any better suggestions?

How about "mi pe ca ku tsamau mi pe le prula'i nanca"?

(mi'e nitcion) Correct, and this expands out to "mi pe ca ku cu zmadu mi pe le prula'i nanca leni ce'u tsali". The more general statement "I'm stronger now", without an explicit comparandum, is of course handled by "mi zenba leni tsali".

Also possible: "le cabna cu zmadu le purlamna'a le ni mi tsali ca ce'u"

Or: "mi tsali ca ti nesemau le prula'i nanca". See: Frank likes Betty more than Mary

How about mi zenba le kamtsali ze'upu le nanca? --xod

le ca nanca le pu nanca cu zmadu lo'e du'u mi tsali ca ce'u --And Rosta

It would be nice to keep the structure of the original, so that it's a statement about "me" and not a statement about years.

  • What do you mean?

What about "le ni mi tsali ca zmadu ri pe le prula'i nanca"? The

amount of my strength now exceeds that of last year.

mi jai zmadu le prulamna'a le niltsa fai le cabna

what means prula??

  • As you have noticed, prula means nothing. prulamna'a is obiously a lujvo (or maybe a fu'ivla, but let's just ignore that possibility), because it has a consonant cluster at the beginning and a vowel at the end. As such, it will contain rafsi. These rafsi can only be either 3 letters long (not counting _'_) or be 5 letters long ending in a _y_. The direct result of this is that prulamna'a necessarily breaks up into pru = purci, lam = lamji, na'a = nanca.
