"geng-chen" infact was "my" dragon (long) year 2000, which - alas! - already had passed, just like the current "xin-se" (2001), a snake (she) year, is about to fade away within a few days. The coming 2002 is "ren-wu" (like 1942 had been). It is a horse (ma) year. - In the cycle of 60 years, each year is designated by a compound of one of the ten celestial stems (tian gan) with one of the twelve earthly branches (di zhi). But "xin nian" (New Year) will be "the new one" every year again!" -- Best wishes to all! mi'e .aulun.
