At the time Lojban was baselined, there were some who were loudly in favour of there being an official Language Academy instituted to do the sort of stuff a Language Academy does. This idea was explicitly quashed by Lojban Central at the time. Jboske is not an officially-appointed or self-appointed Language Academy.
